Mission

Our Mission

The Old East Safety Forum is dedicated to creating a safer community by establishing a platform for collaboration between key role players in emergency response and public safety. This includes both statutory entities—such as the (metro) police, Gauteng Ambulance Services, Tshwane Fire Department, and Gauteng Traffic Wardens—as well as non-statutory role players, including private ambulance services, towing services, security companies, private fire services, Community Policing Forums, estate managers, and other volunteer organisations.

Supporting this initiative is a dedicated team of our own trained volunteer community responders. These volunteers are equipped with essential skills in first aid, scene management, basic firefighting, and crime prevention. Through ongoing training and coordinated efforts, they enhance community resilience and ensure that swift assistance is available when needed.

By fostering cooperation between these various stakeholders and maintaining a well-trained volunteer team, we strive to build a safer, more prepared community for everyone who lives and works in Pretoria's Old East.
